Elma High School ushered in their second cohort of AJAC Youth Apprentices during their annual Signing Day Ceremony held on May 18, 2023.
The Signing Day Ceremony signified the joint-commitment between apprentices, their hiring employers, school officials and AJAC as these young men embarked on a new journey to further their education and career in advanced manufacturing.
Apprentices signed their agreement documents in front of a packed auditorium while families, colleagues, and school administrators cheered them on. These apprentices will formally begin their structured on-the-job training as they look to complete 2,000 hours of practical hands-on work with companies who have agreed to partner with AJAC.
These students will simultaneously complete three college-level classes designed by AJAC which supplements the learning apprentices do at their job site.
